Still, returning production iskeyto success in college football. The five Power Four teams that returned the most talent in 2023 combined for a 53-14 record and included national champion Michigan. The five that returned theleasttalent went 26-36. Just 11 teams in the Power Four return fewer than10starters from a season ago to the field in 2024.

The list includes Michigan, which ranked No. 3 in returning production last season but returns just five starters following last season's national championship run and the departure of head coach Jim Harbaugh to the NFL.

Florida State ranked No. 1 in returning production last season en route to a 13-1 finish but lands on this list after having10players selected in the 2024 NFL Draft, the program's most since 2015.
