What is the best set up for Zoroark? ›

Zoroark's best set would consist of Nasty Plot and Fightinium Z, allowing it to punch through Pokemon like Empoleon and Blissey after a boost.

Float Stone increases both of Zoroark's movement speed and attack. This allows the Pokemon to efficiently roam the map while also adding to its damage output. Focus Band provides extra defenses and a chance to save Zoroark with HP recovery when its HP gets low.

The best moves for Zoroark are Snarl and Foul Play when attacking Pokémon in Gyms. This move combination has the highest total DPS and is also the best moveset for PVP battles.

Zoroark joins a steadily growing class of powerful Speedsters in Pokémon UNITE, and it may even be the most mobile of them all. Night Slash and Feint Attack both provide numerous opportunities for Zoroark to zip around during battle, changing targets and dealing damage in ways similar to both Lucario and Tsareena.

You want to go with Timid if you want to make a Nasty Plot set with Naive is better for a Choice set because it doesn't lower the power of U-turn. Jolly would be an option for a Swords Dance set, but you should still go with Naive and put that good SpAtk to good use with Flamethrower or Grass Knot.

Zoroark gets Grass knot, while Gengar gets Energy Ball (and Giga Drain, if Pokeshifting from 4th gen). If you are looking for sheer special attacking power, Gengar is the better choice. However, if you want a mixed set or physical set, Zoroark comes out the winner. Both are good however.

Most Pokémon can deal a lot of damage with their base stats alone, so survival is key to winning team fights. The top four items—Focus Band, Buddy Barrier, Muscle Band, and Wise Glasses—are core in any item build, while the rest are situational and dependent on your team makeup and personal playstyle.

Timid or Naive are the best natures. Usually Zoroark is played with a choiced item, scarf/specs, with the following moves: U-Turn, Flamethrower, Dark Pulse/Night Daze and Focus Blast. You can also run Nasty plot on it with the Life Orb or the Leftovers.

Zoroark has a decent signature ability in Illusion, which allows it to play mind games with opponents, though Zoroark's frailty limits its usability. Zoroark also has great mixed offenses and a decent movepool with moves such as Swords Dance and Nasty Plot.

At First, Zoroark Was Even Rarer Than Pseudo Legendaries

However, as part of only a two-stage evolutionary line with Zorua, Zoroark doesn't meet the criteria to even be Pseudo Legendary. Zoroark doesn't even measure up to the category of Pseudo Legendary with its base stat total.

The number one Pokémon inside of Unite right now is Zacian. On release, Zacian was the epitome of a Unite player's nightmare. However, Zacian did seem to take a backseat with the release of Mewtwo X and Mewtwo Y. But since the big bad Mewtwo Y has seen some changes Zacian has emerged back at the top.

As a result, the only type that Hisuian Zorua and Hisuian Zoroark are weak to are Dark-type attacks.

I'd say Lucario is the better pick. The problem with Garchomp is not only does it evolve late, but it has a problem with kiting. Garchomp's main source of damage is basic attacks, but so many pokemon can simply our maneuver him that even with his one dash he can't hit the enemies many times.

Snarl and Foul Play make for Zoroark's best possible moveset. Shadow Claw is semi-close to Snarl and hits the same types for Super Effective damage, but it's ultimately an inferior move due to a lack of STAB. Sludge Bomb and Flamethrower are lesser options.

The best moveset for Hisuian Zoroark in Pokémon Legends: Arceus is Slash, Shadow Claw, Shadow Ball, and Extrasensory. Out of all its stats, its Physical Attack, Special Attack, and Speed are all fairly high.

Pokemon that can beat Fighting-types, such as Florges and Crobat, are good partners; the former can also provide Wish support to keep Zoroark healthy. Pokemon that have good type synergy with Zoroark, such as Weezing, are excellent partners too because they let Zoroark trick opponents with Illusion better.
