Does IXL still exist? ›

We are continuously evolving IXL and adding new product features to ensure we're serving educators and students in the best way possible.

If your child does not have a school account, IXL is always available for students to practice daily—simply click on any skill to get 10 free questions per day in each subject area! For unlimited practice, choose from monthly and yearly membership options based on your needs.

Sign in to IXL by entering your student username and password at www.ixl.com. Teachers: Retrieve student usernames and passwords by signing in to your teacher account and opening your roster.

IXL offers comprehensive coverage of pre-K through 12th grade curriculum, with more than 10,000 skills aligned to the Common Core and all 50 state standards.

With over 10,000 adaptive skills, IXL empowers educators to provide individualized instruction across a broad range of ability levels—whether students are English language learners, have special needs, or are working at different grade levels.

Teaching students with ADHD, dyslexia and other learning differences requires a highly individualized approach. High school math teacher Barbara Knight found that implementing IXL Math and the Real-Time Diagnostic in her classroom was key in differentiating instruction for students with special needs.

IXL has a strong focus on math and language arts, while Khan Academy offers a wider range of subjects. Consider your learning style: If your child is a visual learner, then you may prefer Khan Academy's videos and articles. If your child is an auditory learner, then you may prefer IXL's games and quizzes.

Inadequate Feedback: While IXL provides immediate feedback on incorrect answers, it often lacks detailed explanations or alternative strategies for solving problems. This limits students' ability to learn from their mistakes and hinders their overall growth.

Can students do IXL at home? ›

Yes! IXL subscriptions offer students and teachers unlimited access from any computer connected to the Internet. There is even a free app; IXL can go anywhere you go!

IXL's instructional resources expand learning opportunities for students in the classroom and at home. Teachers can use these tools for whole-class instruction, small group work, or independent learning.

Others may argue that IXL is great, and that if a kid is stuck on a problem it will give them tips (the tips only appear once they get a question wrong.. seriously?). Again, please, if you use IXL, all it's doing is putting your child under a lot of stress.

While we offer memberships for online practice that are widely used by teachers and homeschool parents to support their teaching, we are not an accredited school and are not authorized to verify or issue school credits. Completing skills on IXL will not equate to proof of grade completion or transcripts.

Fourth grade is displayed as Level F. Fifth grade is displayed as Level G. Sixth grade is displayed as Level H. Seventh grade is displayed as Level I.

There may be several reasons for that: An outage that hasn't been communicated yet via the IXL status page. Some local issues with a small group of accounts on the service side. Technical issues on your side, or problems with your software or ISP.

On 25 February 2005, IXL, as part of SPC Ardmona, was bought by Coca-Cola Amatil. In 2019, the IXL brand and Kyabram factory were sold to Kyabram Jam Company, in conjunction with Coca-Cola Amatil selling SPC. Kyabram Jam Factory is majority owned by Malaysian Holstein Milk Company.

The Real-Time Diagnostic is always available; students can enter the Diagnostic at any time and answer as many questions as they like. When students first use the Diagnostic, we recommend they aim to diagnose until their complete diagnostic data is revealed—for most students, this will be around 45 minutes per subject.
